Rob Steinbach+

Rector

Fr. Rob is a new Anglican but has been in ministry for 25 years. Previous to planting Shalom, he served as the Lead Pastor of Seaside Church in Bremerton from 2013-2023 where he enjoyed many years of fruitful ministry! Seaside blessed Rob and Beth when they were called into the Anglican tradition and supports Shalom with continued friendship, finances, and prayer. Also, he was a part of the Acts 29 network for 15 years and spent time coaching new church planters around the West Coast. Prior to moving to Bremerton he co-planted Freedom Church in Baltimore, MD with another pastor and has over a decade’s worth of experience in various church planting roles as well as doing urban ministry in Chicago, Baltimore, and Portland.

Fr. Rob has a Bachelors of Arts in Urban Ministry from Moody Bible Institute (2001) and a Masters in Divinity from Western Seminary (2022) in Portland. His vocational interests include Biblical Theology, Preaching, Leadership, Church History, and all things pertaining to the Contemplative tradition of our faith. He recently completed the Academy for Spiritual Formation through Soul Formation and is hopeful to begin training as a Spiritual Director in the coming year.

His other interests include hanging out with his family (amazing wife, kids, granddaughter), trail running, hiking, disc golf, hip hop, jazz, drinking good coffee, and pretending to be a monk.
